The first game type thing I got as a kid was a gameboy. This was my first step into the technology world and this taught me alot about the potential of technology. -
PS2 launches in North America
After my Dad and I's xbox broke, we turned over a new leaf and bought a PS2. We primarily used our PS2 for madden and other such games but we also took advantage of its DVD functionality because then we did not need to buy a DVD player. -
Gamecube is released
A lot of time was spent on a gamecube when I was younger at my friends house. This was a veyr revealing moment for me when we realized the games for my PS2 were not compatible with his gamecube. This showed me not all electronics are created equal. -
Ipod classic is launched
I got an iPod a few years ago and I've used it just about everyday since. I never would have thought it was possible to have thousands of songs on a small, handheld device. Especially at the young age of 10 when all I knew was CDs. -
First Xbox was launched
my dad bought an xbox for me when I was in first grade to play hockey games with him. After a month of owning this, it broke but it showed me at a young age what technology was capable of. -
twitter is launched
I have a twitter and I use it almost everyday. The fact that Twitter is also available as an application make use easier. -
PS3 is released
I own a PS3 and a great deal of my time and my Dad's is spent on that machine. My Dad was looking into buying a blue-ray player but it was a pleasant surprise to find out that the PS3 has a built in blue-ray player. -
iphone is first launched
I have an iPhone and it makes connecting with friends and using a social networking site a lot easier. It also combined music and a phone in one convenient package. -
Apple's iPad launched
my sister has an iPad and its pretty nice when she lets me use it. Essentially it is just a large ipod touch, but the larger display makes it easier for older people or young kids to also have fun. -
Instagram is launched
I don't personally have an instagram, but it takes up a lot of my twitter feed. Instagram is a great way for people to share pictures and make digital scrapbooks to share with people hundreds of miles away. It's a great way to keep families in touch with each other. -
