  • iPod Mini

    iPod Mini
This is the first piece of technology that I remember getting that was all mine! I picked out the cute green color and was so excited. I look back now and am amazed that I thought that was cool. All it did was play music but I loved that I got my own headphones with it!
  • Nokia 2128i

    Nokia 2128i
This was my first cell phone! I got it when I was in the 7th grade. I was SO excited. My parents had previously been so against cell phones. However, my mom got sick and was always at different treatments. She needed a way to contact us because we spent a lot of time at other's houses or being picked up by other people. It didn't do much, but I sure felt cool having it.
  • Samsung Intensity

    Samsung Intensity
I wanted this phone for MONTHS! It was pretty fancy because it would slide open and had a full QWERTY keyboard. It also had a camera! The camera was definitely poor quality, but I took pictures of literally everything! I also helped save up money to buy this phone because my parents said it was a "want" not a "need".
  • iPod Nano

    iPod Nano
This iPod was SO special to me! I remember that it was all I wanted for Christmas that year. However, my mom had just went through cancer treatments and I knew money was tight. I was SO surprised and SO excited when I opened it on Christmas morning. I thought it was extra cool that my name was engraved on the back of it.
  • LG Env3

    LG Env3
My grandma bought me this phone and I still don't know why! haha! Sometimes she is awesome at gifts and other times she forgets your birthday until 9 months later. I remember her taking me to the Verizon kiosk in the mall and letting me pick any phone that I wanted! I loved that this one could open and have the full keyboard but also had the little circle wheel that would spin.
  • iPod Touch

    iPod Touch
This was a hand me down from my sister. She had just spent her own money to buy her first iPhone. I remember she sold me the iPod for like $50. I saved up my own money to buy it from her and I carried that thing around everywhere with me.
  • iPhone 4

    iPhone 4
My very first iPhone! My parents told me I couldn't get a smartphone until I was able to pay for the data plan on it. So I got a job scorekeeping baseball games for the city rec department so that I could pay each month for the data. It was so worth it! I remember feeling so cool because if you had an iPhone in highschool you were pretty elite!
  • Macbook Pro Laptop

    Macbook Pro Laptop
I got this Macbook Pro Laptop as a gift when I graduated from highschool! I remember being so excited to have a computer that was all my own to use and move wherever I wanted it too. I thought it included so many cool tech pieces, but now I feel like it is so old, seeing what these computer models have now.
  • iPhone 6

    iPhone 6
Moving from my iPhone 4 to a 6 was a big jump! They were no longer thick and square, but were pretty slim and had a nicer camera. I got this phone because my other one was just getting old and outdated. It's crazy how much the technology changed in just 2 years. I made a special trip home from college to buy this phone when it first came out! Hah!
  • iPhone 7

    iPhone 7
Again, just got this phone because mine was starting to run slow and die quickly. I probably didn't NEED a new phone, but I just feel like we have been so accustomed to wanting the latest and greatest technology. This one didn't change much from the iPhone 6 and it was probably a waste of money since I didn't get too much of an upgrade.
  • Apple Watch

My brother got an Apple Watch when they were first released. I always said I would NEVER get one because there was no need to have such an expensive watch. During my first year of teaching, I realized how much I was walking around the classroom and wanted to keep track of my steps, so I bought an apple watch. Now I love it! I love being able to track activity, but the tool I use the most in the classroom is the timer and stopwatch! Helpful for keeping me on task and tracking reading fluency.
  • iPhone 11

I was so excited to get this new iPhone! I hadn't gotten a new phone in a few years and mine was really getting slow. I was so excited that this phone came in my favorite color! It was the first piece of technology I have owned that implemented facial recognition technology and my mind was blown!
