Seperate bark from the tree with teeth being careful not to damage it. -

Soak bark over night to soften ready to be beaten -
Beat Strips
Beat strips continously untill they are over 2ft wide -
Use glue to stick cloth together
Use the glue of a potatoe to patch holes and to glue pieces together. -
Beat on a stencil
Beat the cloth on a stencil to create a texture/pattern -
Make pattern template
Make pattern template form coconut husks and fibres. wire, fishing line, net -
Rub dye over to give design
Rub Ink/dye on Tapa cloth over tepmlate to show the design -
Hand paint over the design
