This monkey, called Albert II, was the first monkey in space. Albert was a type of monkey that came from Asia, called Rhesus. He went into space on the American V2 rocket, and flew 83 miles from earth. -

Dennis Tito paid 20 million dollars to ride in a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. He was the first ever space tourist. He trained over 900 hours to acomplish this, but spent just a week in orbit. -
First Privately Manned Space Craft
Built by a private aviation firm, which was to win the 10 million dollar Ansari X Prize. This space craft was called the SpaceShipOne.
