My second semester I went El Paso Community College I decided to pursue a degree in radiology. -
Period: to
2nd Year in College
I continued to seek my radiology degree and started getting my papers ready to apply to the program to be able to start in the fall of 2013. I was not able to apply, because I had to retake the accuplace and I could not pass them in time to apply in spring of 2013. So to not waste time in waiting I switched my major to Nursing. -

3rd Year in College
I started my nursing prerequisites course in fall of 2013. I knew I had long ways to go, but I had made up my mind and I wanted to become a Registered Nurse. In Spring of 2014, I started debating whether to apply to the nursing program at UTEP or at EPCC. I decided UTEp and I went to take the TEAS test and did not pass on my two tries I had for that year. So I had to wait a whole year before taking it again. So in Summer of 2014, I decide to apply to the program at EPCC. -
Period: to
4th Year of College
Fall of 2014 I was almost ready to apply at EPCC, but started considering the nursing program at Texas Tech University in El Paso Texas. I looked into it and saw it was a better opportunity. So went to an advisor at Texas Tech and they told I only needed 3 other course to apply. I took the courses during Spring and Summer 2015 and applied and took the Hesi passed it and applied. I got accepted in Summer of 2015 to the Gayle Greve Hunt School Of Nursing at Texas Tech Univerisity In EL Paso Texas. -
Period: to
5th Year of College
I started the nursing program. It was gonna be tough, and this first semester of nursing school was not what I expected. I began to fail something I was not used to. I did 3 clinical rotations and decided to withdraw from the program. Decide this was not for me. I took my first big break from college to think on what I really wanted to do. It was a tough patch I went through, but time off really helped get things straight. Summer of 2016 I decide to major in Education. -
Period: to
6th Year of College and On
It has been a roller-coaster, but I plan to graduate with a degree in Education in about 2 years. I love little kids so I majored in EC-6 Generalist. I hope to one have my own classroom and make a difference in kids lives. I am sure I will love such a rewarding job of being a teacher in the near future.
