St Ignatius was born in a family castle in Guipuzcoa, Spain. He was the youngest of thirteen children that were brought up by Maria de Garin. Was baptised at the Church if St Sebastion Basque village. -

St Ignatius went into the military force for the Duke of Navarre. -

He was struck with a cannon ball, hurting his leg while in battle, he layed in bed for several weeks to recover, but had a major conversion. -

He fell under suspision of heresy by the Church heirachy and was imprisoned and tried by the Spanish Inquistion. -
