    After receiving an unfavorable call, the fans of the home team rushed the pitch and over 2,000 fans expressed their displeasure through physical means. They beat player and referees. The away team canceled all future cricket matches in the country.

    Maurice Richard was one of the top hockey scorers of the era. After a violent attack against another player he was suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs. When he decided to attend the next game a riot broke out. 37 were injured and 100 arrested. There was a reported $100,000 in property damage.

    During a doubleheader a crate full of disco records was to be exploded in centerfield. The White Sox expected a crowd of about 20,000. However, 50,000 people showed up. As soon as the records were blown up fans rushed the field and tore it up. 39 were arrested and it's estimated 30 were injured.

    Following the Red Sox improbable 2004 World Series win fans took to the streets outside of Fenway Park. When police tried to disperse the crowds a fan, Victoria Snelgrove, was killed when a pepper spray projectile struck her in the eye.

    Following the Lakers defeat of the Celtics in Game 7 fans took to the streets outside the Staples Center. Unruly fans from downtown bars collided with fans leaving the arena. 10 people were rushed to the hospital and 50 were arrested.

    Immediately following the Canucks loss to the Bruins riots erupted in downtown Vancouver. As riots normally occur in the winning city, this was unexpected. Fights broke out, shop windows shattered, and cars overturned and burned. 140 were injured, one critically, with an estimated damage of over $3 million.
