Start
I started speech in 7th grade and the only event I did was humorous duo. We did one of the most overdone duo's and mainly got 5's. -
Getting there
The next year I started with Humorous and humorous duo. I finaled only once but was happy to be apart of a successful team.We won all of our tournaments. -
New events
I ended up replacing someone's duo partner and ended up getting top novice. We were supposed to go to EDC for it but I ended up getting sick the week before. The last normal tournament of the season I finaled in humorous and tied for 8th. -
New year
Last year I started with serious duo, serious and poetry. I didn't final the first tournament. -
Finaling
I start finaling with my serious prose but never got past 7th place. I then started to do humorous and even got 3rd at the Fargo north tournament. -
EDC and State
I state qualified in humorous with a monologue piece about names. I later got 6th in state -
Start of the season
This year I started with poetry and storytelling. I didn't final the first tournament and then missed a few tournaments. -
Add on events
I then added serious and dramatic. I dropped storytelling and finaled in serious. I got 6th the first tournament I did. We won sweepstakes. -
EDC
On Saturday, we competed at the EDC tournament at Fargo north. I placed and qualified in both of my events, prose and humorous. We won EDC and are officially back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back EDC Champs. -
Next weekend
Next weekend is both the national quilifyer and State. I'm going it 2 categories in each and I hope to do good.
