  • Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965

    This act ensured that the less privileged kids had access to a quality education. The ruling for the case gave us Title 1 which is a provision of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, was created to distribute funding to schools with a high number of students from low income families.
    We as human bean are all not granted the same type of living as the next person. So, using government money to help repair the educational gap was a great way to help equal the playing field.

  • PARC v. Pennsylvania

    There were six kids who all struggled with some form of mental retardation. PARC alleged that the children’s 14th Amendment were violated. The school’s refused to educate retarded children they considered to be uneducable while providing the full benefits of education to retarded children they saw to be educable.
    It opened Penn. public schools to all retarded children and changed the lives of thousands of retarded children who were unfairly excluded from the benefits of a public education.

  • DANIEL R.R. v. STATE BD. OF EDUC.

    His parents placed him in a regular ed class. Over the period of time in class the teacher noticed he was struggling in the class. the ARD committee met and agreed that a regular setting classroom was not the best environment for him to learn in. His parents appealed the hearing officer’s decision, just so the district court could side with the ARD committee’s decision.
    This case allows to see how the impact of placing impacts. When in the right setting it promotes positive results.
