    PARC vs Penn
    An agreement that students between the age of 6 till 21 would receive free public education.
  • Mills vs. Board of Education

    Mills vs. Board of Education
    This was an expansion to PARC vs Penn, filed against DC's board of education which denied students with disabilities an education. This suit guaranteed them an education.
  • Section 504

    Section 504
    The civil rights statement for students with disabilities. This prevents discrimination against those with disabilities. Equal needs provided to both with and without disabilities.
  • EAHCA

    EAHCA
    Education for All Handicapped Children was passed guaranteeing equal rights and one free meal to children whom had any sort of disability.
  • IDEA

    IDEA
    a link to EAHCA, but includes a transition till students are out of high school. Has been reauthorized many times since then.
