    Preparations for Day of the Dead begin/All Hallow's Eve
    9:00 am: We make our alters and start to prepare some of our dishes to offer to our dead loved ones. We cook special dishes for each dead soul based on what they enjoyed when they were living. 12:00 pm: We prepare the streets and cemeteries for the big celebration.
    4:00 pm: The people of the town start to decorate the streets with skulls and flowers.
  • All Saint's Day and Day two of Preparations

    All Saint's Day and Day two of Preparations
    9:00 am: We continue our preparations for day of the dead by decorating the alters of our dead loved one by personalizing it just for them.
    10:00 pm: We make our costumes to wear in the parade
    12:00 pm: We make our sugar skulls as tradition and start to make our objects to offer to the dead.
    4:00 pm: We celebrate all saint's day with a feast to honor the Saints being allowed to pass into heaven.

    7:00 pm: We walk through the streets in a big parade some of the people wearing costumes.
    8:00 pm: We go to the cemeteries and clean the graves and start getting the festival ready.
    9:00 pm: We kick off the celebration by bring out our alters and setting all the food out and display our calacas.
    9:30 pm: We hold our graveside vigils and honor our dead for they have come back to us.
    10:00 pm: We set the food on the alters and hold a big picnic celebration.
