Pineda maps Gulf of Mexico
He's from England, and sailed toward Texas. He sailed along the Texas coast, and mapped it. This made him become the first person to make maps and charts. -

Cabeza de Vaca
He was captured and traded as a slave by the Kawasaki. He saved a Kawasaki, and was known as "Medicean man" because of that. -
Establish first mission
Corpus Christi de was the first mission to ever be built Texas. -
La Salle
Made a daring journey down the Mississippi River, and claimed "Louisiana" for France. Wanting to establish a colony before the Spanish got there,in 1684, the French King, LouisXIV gave La Salle ships and colonists to set sail. But he missed the Mississippi River, and landed near Matagoraa Bay, Texas. While there, he set up Fort St. Louis in 1685. -
East Texas missions moved to San Antonio
San Antonio founded, and east Texas missions moved to San Antonio. Those missions are;San Francisco de lus Tejas, Concepcion, and the Corpus Christi la Yselta. -
Mission San Jose completed
San Jose mission is completed in San Antonio and other missions are built. San Jose was "built" by Father Antonio Margil de Jesus. -
La Bahia
In 1722 the Last Bahia mission was built. It's name means " the bay of Holy Spirit" -
Goliath Mission
became the location of the Goliad Massacre when Colonel Fannin and 341 other Texian men were executed within and surrounding the fort’s walls. -
Abandoned
All missions abandoned due to the Indians wanting the land they were built on.
