    From 18 of december to 25 of january, the cricket team from New Zealand was on tour in South Africa. there were held two test matches, three one day internationals and three twenty20 international matches.

    General electins were arranged in South Africa between 26 and 29 of april. It was the first election in South Africa were both black and white citizens were allowed to vote. Nelson Mandela became president

    South Africa banned from the olympics

    South Africa was banned from the olympics in 1964, due to the segregations between whites and blacks. The segreation policies meant that only the white race could represent the country

    Dutch colony

    The Dutch "Jan van Rieebeck" established a colony on the Cape of good Hope. It was supposed to be a refreshement station for the Duth East India company. Soon, the station became a town.

    The South African war

    The south African world war lasted from 1899-1902. The war between the Boers and the Britain was declared the 11th of october 1899. The war was brutal, and inculded many battles.

    South Africa gained its independence from Britain on may 31 1910. Also, general Louis Botha became priminister and formed a governemnt, at the same day. the South African party won 67 out of 130 seats in the house of assembly on september 15, 1910.
