  • The call of the estates

    The call of the estates
This period in the french revolution was when the third estate got tired of the first and second estate having the upper hand. Because of this, they decided to make their own government.
  • Tennis court oath

    Tennis court oath
The tennis court oath is what sparked the french revolution. The third estate decided to make their own government. They WERE going to meet at the palace of Versailles, but with the current government being as stupid as they are, they decided to block all entrances to the place. What the third regiment did, was that they just moved the meeting somewhere else, and that place was a nearby tennis court.
  • Storming of the bastille

    Storming of the bastille
A revolution isn't a revolution without destruction, and that's just what they did at the Storming of the Bastille. The Bastille was a massive fortress that was a armory, and held a prison which was mostly linked to politics. When they stormed the place, they eventually overtook the place, and with armor and weapons at hand, they were ready for a full on revolution.
  • Declaration of rights of man

    Declaration of rights of man
The Declaration of rights of man was a Declaration, of course, that could be summed up to; "We want freedom.". This was a step up in the right direction, and unlike the last event, this was mostly a diplomatic conflict.
  • Woman's March on Versailles

    Woman's March on Versailles
It was the usual October, the wind was crisp, the air was chilly, and 7,000 working women decided to revolt. Yes, arguably, some of the most oppressed people finally stood up to the rich first estates, and marched to the palace of Versailles armed with pitchforks, clubs, torches and any weapon they could find. They did this due to a plight, and they couldn't get their bread to at least survive another day. This is where the famous; "Let them eat cake!" Quote came from, which didn't. exist.
  • Civil constitution of the clergy

    Civil constitution of the clergy
This was a diplomatic event, when the third estate declared that they wanted more land. Since most of the land was taken by churches, they decided to try to being the bishop's down from 135 to 83. It sounds, decent, but with King Louis XVI being as stupid as usual, instead of it going as planned, the clerics weren't happy. Only one half of them took oath to this, and eventually the pope had to get involved. The people who voted on the opposite side of the pope were declared enemies of the state.
  • The royal family Attempts to flee

The royal family Attempts to flee
As the title states, this is the day when The royal family Attempts to flee. As the next thing in the timeline says, this didn't go out very well. King Louis XVI dressed his entire family up as servants, and hoping they could sneakily escape to Austria for assistance. As you can guess, this didn't work. This eventually continues in the next event.
  • Execution on the king

    Execution on the king
This is the time when king Louis XVI finally; A. Made people happy, and B. Brought peace to France. His death was the only thing that could reunite the entirety of France, and fix its problems. Although his execution wasn't straight after his arrest, it took a while, and even then the execution was won by a slim majority. About a year later, his wife was too executed because of treason.
  • Region of terror

    Region of terror
This region of terror, was in fact not caused by terrible kings and awfull politics... ok maybe a little bit of policitcs, but this event was when people of the opposite side of the revolution, which mosty comprised of priests, nobles and hoarders, were publicly executed. This was so common, that the gutters in some places ran red with blood. Around 300,000 suspects were arrested, 17,000 were executed and maybe 10,000 died in prison without a trial.
  • Execution of Robisphere

    Execution of Robisphere
This person, or king, was responsible for the Region of terror, and sided with the revolution. Once all of the executions were settled, people realized their vast amount of bloodshed they actually caused and decided to turn on their king. This eventually led to a execution.
