Now, over 500 million 'tweets' occur each day. Twitter is also given credit for the @ and then tagging a name, as well as hashtags. -

The most successful social media platform to this day, became available to the public. Everything from messaging, to wall posts, to statuses and the 'like' button, Facebook had it all. Billions of users are now a part of this site. -

A new way of chatting while sending pictures of yourself arose on this date. From posting pictures and videos to your own personal snapchat account, to sending them to others with filters or drawings. You choose 1-10 seconds, send the picture, and then it disappears. It has done nothing but grown and developed more over the years. -

A creative, fun new way to share videos that created viral trends and stars. You have up to 6 seconds to record what you want, and then post it to public forum for all to see. You can follow your favorite people and videos, and vice versa. A huge revolutionary unique new way to communicate and share. -
Facebook LIVE For Everyone
Facebook Live was released for everyone to use, instead of just celebrities or businesses. This is huge, because anyone can stream live video at any place and time. From concerts to reporters, everyone has the access to share publicly whatever they choose.
