    The Acadians believed in God and lived under French rule. Britain took over then Charles Lawrence put them in boats and shipped them away. Then after they were gone the Britians burnt down everything.

    James Wolfe leads the attack on the french. Both the commanders died in the fight and in the end, the British won.

    This was just the British telling the First Nation that they didn't have to worry about them taking their land. Because they wanted to stop the fighting that was happening between the two.

    Lord Burham was sent to British North America to investigate why people were rebelling. He came to the conclusion that we shouldn't be under British rule and upper and lower Canada should be unified.

    This was supposed to get rid of the First Nations culture to make them more like Canadian citizens. Canada has tried to do this more than once even and failed every time. Now they have finally realized that it is wrong.

    Chinese were hired by Canadians to build the railway because it was a dangerous job and we didn't want Canadians to do it. After they were done Canada didn't want to have them anymore. So then the head tax came and it stated $50 a person later it was raised to $100. Then later $500 in the end Canada made $23 million.

    Louis Riel was hung for treason in July 1885 because he leads a rebellion and lost. Some would say a rebellion and others a resistance because in some people's eyes he was seen as a hero . He lost because of a new railway that was built

    In 1916 men didn't volunteer to go to war anymore. So the government needed more people which started the conscription crisis. This made it so there were two groups in Canada. The people who wanted to go fight and the people who were done fighting.

    Canada was known for its multiculturism back in the day. We adopted the Francophone language which made us a more diverse country.

    Quebec would not sign the constitution no matter what because they did not want to lose their power to overrule the votes in the future.

    Baltej Dhillon wanted an RCMP to dress against his religion and instead to their dress code. This RCMP officer decided to change the dress code and was the first RCMP officer to wear a turban and have a beard.
