    The parents of the child filled an action against the school soon after the child was removed from the program

    Congress passed The Handicapped children protection act. After this happened parents were compensated legal fees.
    During the court case the rights for equal education opportunity had been acknowledged.
    Each qualified handicapped individual will receive free appropriate education.

    IEPs will be carried out how they are written for each individual.
    Children can now receive special accommodations. These accommodations will range from various of activities that will keep them stimulated, thinking, and busy.
    There has been a decrease in discrimination of handicapped children. Children with and without a disability will have related protection.
