Get a Good Score on the ACT and SAT
S: I would like to get a 32 on the ACT or a 1450 on the SAT.
M: I will achieve my goal when my ACT composite score is a 32 and my SAT score is a 1450.
A: 1. Pick a date to take the SAT and ACT
2. Study weekly for the SAT and ACT using Method Test Prep
3. Take the SAT and possibly the ACT
R: It is more worth it for me to study hard and get a good grade than to not study and get a worse grade
T: I will reach this goal by August 2019
I will study hard in order to get good scores on the ACT and SAT. -
Graduate High School With a 4.0 GPA
S: I would like to graduate high school with a GPA of 4.0 or higher.
M: This will be obtained when I graduate high school with a 4.0
A: I will have to take rigorous classes and get A's in them
R: I will have to study more which will take time away from my social life, but it will be worth it because I value my grades highly.
T: This goal will be completed when I graduate high school in June 2020 -
Go to NC State
S: I would like to get accepted and admitted into NC State
M: This will be accomplished when I get an acceptance letter from State and move into a dorm.
A: I will have to take rigorous classes, get good grades, get good test scores, and have a spectacular application to get accepted
R: I will have to challenge myself academically and be more focused in school which will take time away from my social life, but I am willing to do that.
T: I wish to start attending state by fall 2020. -
Graduate From NC State With a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
S: I wish to graduate NC State with a degree in Mechanical Engineering
M: I will reach this goal when I officially graduate
A: I will have to get good scores on the ACT and SAT in order to get into State then I will also have to maintain good grades in college in order to graduate
R: I will have to pay tuition and possibly take loans to afford college, but it will be worth it once I graduate and get a full time job
T: I wish to graduate from NC State by 2025 -
Become a Mechanical Engineer
S: I want to have a career as a Mechanical Engineer
M: I will achieve this goal when I have a full time job as a Mechanical Engineer
A: I will have to get good grades and study hard in both high school and college. I will also have to graduate college with a degree in mechanical engineering.
R: I will have to pay tuition in college and maybe even student loans, but I believe it will be worth it in the long run considering I achieve my goal.
T: I would like to complete this goal by 2026.
