SMART Goal
Have at least 1 poem of mine published in a literary magazine by the end of 2015. I will do this by creating a creative writing portfolio with at least 25 or more works and then showing my portfolio to the editors. By getting published in a literary magazine, I would save the money I would've had to spend on publishing my poems myself. -
Step 1
Read books and works by and about famous poets including Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, and Edgar Allan Poe. -
Step 2
Have 10-15 poems written and revised by this date. -
Step 3
Have 25 or more poems or creative writing written and revised. -
Step 4
Land several interviews and have my portfolio put together. -
Step 5
Have at least one work chosen and become a published poet in a literary magazine.
