The storming of the Bastille
It was violent attack that happened because the citizens of paris heard that king Louis XVI was going to send troops. They raided armories for guns, but they had no gun powder, which was held at the bastille, a symbol of authority and abuse and was a prison for the people who made the king angry. The people of paris stormed the bastille and they tortured the commander of the bastille until he begged them to just kill him, then they killed him. It marked the official start of the revolution.
