History/Explanation: Canada gave Quebec autonomy because they wanted to separate from Canada but still have close economic ties. Quebec also wanted autonomy because their religion is so different from Canada's. Quebec's religion is Catholic while the rest of Canada is Protestant. -

Purpose: Prevent future aggression. -

History/Explanation: After WWII the Jews were not accepted into Europe,to compromise they returned to their homeland which is now Israel but at that time was Palestine. Upon arrival to Palestine they were faced with a problem of a cultural division between the Muslims and Jews. The Jews fought for their homeland and gained independence which devolutionized Palestine into present day Israel and Palestine territories. -

Purpose: To defend themselves against NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization) -
Devolution-Hawaii and Puerto Rico/U.S.
Original Country/Region: U.S.
Type: Cultural
History/Explanation: Hawaii wishes for independence because they were wanting land back that belonged to their ancestors. Their land was taken away from them during the U.S. "occupation". Puerto Rico also pushed for independence from the U.S. because of lost land from their ancestors but the U.S. denied their request of independence. If Hawaii and/or Puerto Rico were given independence they would be taken over by another country. -
Supranationalism- PLO
Countries: Isreal, Egypt, Palestine
Purpose: Represent the Palestinian people. Recognized as a terrorist organization until the Madrid Conference. They represent the Muslims in Isreal/Palestine. -

History/Explanation: An "Iron Curtain" was placed spliting into democratic West Europe & Communist East Europe.The Berlin Wall was also placed to divide Berlin. The French, US, and Great Britain take control of the western part, the Soviet Union and its allies take control of the east. -

History/Explanation:A reason that led to the dissolution of Soviet Union was the destruction of the Berlin Wall, which resulted from the unification of the west and east parts of Germany. They also broke off because some countries were very rich in resources and they wanted to keep their resources for themselves. -
