    ASIMO
    ASIMO, standing for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, was created by Honda in 2000. ASIMO is a 4ft tall mobility assistant robot with the ability to interact with humans by recognizing sounds, faces, and gestures. Equipped with sensors, ASIMO is able to autonomously navigate its environment. The development of ASIMO led to innovations in walking assist devices.
  • PlayStation 2

    PlayStation 2
    The best-selling video game console of all time, the PlayStation 2 was released on the 26th of October in 2000 by Sony. It offered backward-compatibility for the original PlayStation's DualShock controller and games. The PS2 had a built in DVD drive, allowing for it to be used as a low-cost entry into the home theater market as well as a gaming console.

    In March of 2001, Apple releases MAC OS X as the primary operating system for the MAC computers. It is the second most widely used desktop operating system, allowing millions of people to properly and efficiently use Apple MAC computers.
  • AMD Athlon 64

    AMD Athlon 64
    On September 23, 2003, AMD produced the Athlon 64. It was the first 64-bit processor for the general public and meant to be AMD's primary consumer CPU. Because this CPU was 64-bit, it was able to handle more data at once than 32-bit CPU's, being able to access over 4 billion times the physical memory of a 32-bit CPU. This meant that developers of software were able to create much more CPU reliant programs.

    In 2004, the Mozilla Corporation stepped up to challenge Microsoft's Internet Explorer with Mozilla Firefox. The newly released internet browser exceeded a billion downloads within its first five years. It was one of the first internet browsers to introduce a bookmarks toolbar and allowed for quicker download speeds than Internet Explorer. Consumers also found that its cleaner interface was easier to navigate.
