    In 1946 two inventors John Mauchly and J.Presper Eckert invented the first digital computer called ENIAC. The ENIAC computer could fill the first floor of a modern home and took up about 1800sqft. The computer utilized vacuum tubes and had 18,000 of them. It is considered by many people to be the first functional digital computer.

    The Creation of the Internet
    The original internet was used by government researchers as a way of transporting and sharing information. Information had to originally be mailed through the postal system. 1983 is considered the true birth year of the internet. Previous versions of the internet were limited in who had access to use it and there was no standard way for the computers to communicate with one another. This first modern internet known as (TCP/IP) and allowed all different computers to "speak" with one another.

    First Windows Operating System
    The first Windows operating system came out in the winter of 1985. It was the first UI created by Microsoft and the development was lead by none other then Bill Gates. This provide users with a means to navigate on a desktop and open windows instead of having to enter in text commands to execute programs.
