Jordan 1's
The Air Jordan 1 was the first of the Air Jordan's that have become increasingly popular over the years. It started when Nike signed a 6 year endorsement deal with Micheal Jordan for 2.5 Million USD dollars. The original shoes were not aloud in the NBA because of not being able to meet the leagues requirements on uniforms and colors -
Jordan 2's
The Air Jordan 2's were designed by Bruce Kilgore. The shoes were made in Italy and were sold at $105 USD. The shoes were made available in high top and low top in 1996. The original shoes came in the white red colorway, but the would release three more colorways in 1997. The Jordan 2's sold just as much as the Jordan 1's, but they became decreasingly popular over the years while the Jordan 1's have seem to do the opposite. -
Jordan 3's
Like the Jordan 2's, the Jordan 3's had a very successful release and are still one of the most popular Air Jordan's ever.The shoes would originally sell for the price of $100 USD. Tinker Hadfield would be the one to design the shoe and he would keep designing the jordan shoes all the way till the jordan 15's. -
Jordan 4's
The Air Jordan 4's were the second Jordan's designed by tinker Hatfield. Hatfield decided to instead focus on the shoes performance rather than to take inspiration from the last three shoes and out came the Jordan 4's. Upon release, many people were hating on the design shoe but it would later change as time went on. The shoes were a success once again.The shoe would sell for $110 USD -
Jordan 5's
Tinker Hadfield was once again successful with the Jordan 5's. Micheal Jordan was also very successful with hitting 92 THREE POINTERS in the 1989-1990 season. The shoes were inspired by an american WWII fighter plane. The shoe sold for $125 USD -
Jordan 6's
The Jordan 6's were one of the most remarkable Jordan shoes. The shoes were worn by Jordan on his first NBA championship victory which gave the shoes even more hype than what it started with. Not to mention, he also won MVP of the game that they won. The shoes were the first basketball shoes to feature a clean toe which was straight orders that Micheal Jordan gave to Hadfield. -
Jordan 7's
When Hadfield was in Portland,he came across African art on a poster which featured a man playing a guitar that was shaped like Africa. It must've just been a giant coincidence that he was getting ready to design the 7's when he came across this.Jordan told Hadfield before that he wanted the shoe to "stay young and interested". Hadfield bought the poster and decided to use it as inspiration. The shoes were sold at $125 USD and came in five colorways. -
Jordan 8's
The Air Jordan 8's were the first shoes to not feature a Nike logo. Nike didn't really like the idea of it it after a lot of convincing the idea finally went through. There was a lot of talk about the shoes between sneaker heads and even the general public was starting to acknowledge the futuristic design and colorways -
Jordan 9's
Air Jordan 9's were inspired by Japanese design and culture. The shoes originally sold for $125. If you look around the soles of the shoes, you will see words in foreign languages. For example, you will see the word "Cвобода" on the left side of the shoe which means "Freedom" in Russian.
