This taxed multiple goods including paint, tea, paper and glass. The colonies believed only they can tax themselves. -

This allowed parliament to take sole control of the tea in the colonies, causing the boston tea party. -

This set up a government in quebec and ignored the colonies claim to the area -
Coercive acts
These were cruel laws that punished colonies for resisting british rule. Colonists felt this violated their english rights.
