    women didn't have equal rights as men did, during this time. when the great depression hit, many jobs were available, but mostly went to men, due to men status at home. Only a few women had jobs, because culture pendulum portrayed women jobs at home. At the same time, technologies, like radio allowed expanding opportunities for women. Women were also paid less than men, like this women portray what women were suppose to look like.

    Women faced difficulties in pursuit of their "American dream". After the great depression and WW2, women were expected to be identified as housewives and mothers. But 1950s witnessed changes called, "sexual revolution", into 1960.

    Culture changes were altering the roles of women. More females were entering paid workforce, which increased women's gender disparities in pay and advancement and sexual harassment. By the end of the 60s, 80% of wives childbearing, government approved birth control pill. This freed many women from having unwanted pregnancy.

    50 years after the 19th amendment,granted women the right to vote. National Organization for Women(NOW) strike for equality. women would strike for peace and equality. On August 26, 1970, the fiftieth anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, women went on “strike” in cities across the United States. Former California Governor, Ronald Reagan, a determined foe of abortion and reproduction rights, affirmative action, government regulation, and many liberal social services programs assumed the presidency in 1980. Women had to continue to fight to consolidate the gains made.
