This picture shows the extensive leaf loss on the trees surrounding the Red Cedar. The falling leaves litter the water and will eventually decompose adding to the rivers sediment. -

This picture depicts a desolate view of the Red Cedar. The leaves on the trees have almost completely fallen. Only few colored leaves still cling to the trees. The colder temperatures will eventually relieve all the trees of their leaves. -

This picture appears a bit blurry due to the cool rain gently falling in East Lansing. The trees continue to loose leaves and are now almost completely bare. This cool mist of a rain will eventually turn to snow. -

This picture depicts the first big snowfall in East Lansing. The bare trees of the Red Cedar are now covered in glistening snow making for a beautiful view. -

Unfortunately this picture shows the abscence of the snow that only a few days before blanketed the foliage of the Red Cedar. However this cold day evokes hope that the snows will soon return.
