The beginning
Seven white men, nine negro boys and two white women are on a southern frieght train heading for Scottsboro.Suddenly a fight breaks out between the white men and negro boys. The negros overwhelm the white men and throw them off of the train.

Scottsboro Boys Arrested
Police are disbatched and stop the train. When stopped two white women get off the train by the names of Ruby Bates (17) and Victoria Price (21) proclaiming that they have been raped. Police arrest the boys and bring them in for trial.

First Trial Decision
After the first round of trials eight of the nine boys are sentanced to death. The nineth being Roy Wright which has a mistrial.

Ruby Bates admits
Ruby bates sends a letter in denying being raped by the Scottsboro Boys. Sadly this does not effect the trial really at all.

Patterson's 2nd review
Patterson is once again trialed and this time instead of the death penalty is sentanced to 75 years in prison. After which he said "I'd rather die than spend another day in jail for something I didn't do."

Patterson escapes
After years of being locked up in prison during the month of July, there is not an exact date, Haywood Patterson miraculously manages to escape from prison.

Two years after his escape from jail, Haywood Patterson is involved in a fight which results in the death of another man. He is charged with murder.

The end of the Scottsboro Boys
After 58 years, Norris the last survivng Scottsboro Boys and the only Scottsboro Boy able to have a stable life without anymore crimes dies at 76.
