  • Knight Rider

    Knight Rider
    Knight Rider was created by Glen A. Larson in 1982 and lasted for four seasons until it was cancelled in 1986. Starred David Hasslehoff as Michael Knight and William Daniels, best known as Mr. Feeny, as the Vocie of K.I.T.T. Knight Rider followed Michael Knight has he fought against evil in K.I.T.T., which was a super advanced car that was indestructable and was artifically intelligent. K.I.T.T. usually saved Michael at the right time while delivering snakry comments.
  • Star Trek: The Next Generation

    Star Trek: The Next Generation
    Created by Gene Roddenberry in 1987 and ran until 1994 for seven seasons as a spin-off to the oringial Star Trek series. Stars the likes of Patrick Stewart, Johnthan Frank, and Levar Burton to name of few of the main actors. TNG follows the crew of the Enterprise D decades after TOS. TNG shows the uneasy and turbulent truce between Star Fleet and the Klingon Empire as well as threats from races like the Romulans and the Borg, with the ever present theme of exploration of systems.
  • Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

    Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
    DS9 was created by Rick Berman and Michael Piller as a spin off to Roddenberry's TNG. DS9 lasted for seven seasons from 1993 to 1999. Stars the likes of Avery Brooks as Captain Sisko and Michael Dorn reprising his role as Worf. DS9 departs from the usual Star Trek theme of exploration and focuses on life on a space station that is at the crossroads of the galaxy and is threated by the aggressive Dominion.

    Created by Chris Carter, The X-Files is a science fiction/horror/ drama following FBI agents, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully as they investigate unsolved paranormal cases (the "X-Files"). Mulder wholeheartedly believes in the existence of the paranormal and aliens while Scully is skeptical. She was originally sent to work with Mulder to debunk his work, but ends up becoming more convinced over time. Episodes are generalized as "Mytharc" or "Monster-of-the-Week"
  • Star Trek: Voyager

    Star Trek: Voyager
    Voyager was created by the creators of DS9 and Jeri Taylor in 1995 and lasted until 2001 for seven seasons. Stars the likes of Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway and Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine. Voyager continues the them of exploration as in the previous incarnations of Star Trek but also adds a mix of survival. The survival comes from Voyager on the far side of the galaxy from the Federation and having to deal with the evil Borg while they try to get back home.
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    Created by Joss Whedon, based on a 1992 movie by the same name. The series ran until 2003 and had 7 seasons. A cult hit, Buffy continues to live on comics, fan fiction and academia. Buffy is a normal teenage girl who happens to be The Chosen One, the Vampire Slayer, and also happens to live on a Hellmouth. Along with her friends, "The Scoobies," Buffy fights vampires and the forces of evil. Whedon: "Bring your own subtext!" A launching pad for Whedon as well as many of the show's stars.

    Futurama is an animated sitcom that follows the life of Phillip J. Fry, who was cryogenically frozen into the year 2000, having fallen in just as 1999 ended. He becomes a delivery boy at the Planet Express. Aliens, mutants, robots, and talking heads appear throughout episodes. Futurama switched from Fox to Comedy Central, with the last (7th) season setting to air on 4 Sept 2013. Created by Matt Groening.

  • Star Trek: Enterprise

    Star Trek: Enterprise
    This short lived preqel to TOS lasted fours season from 2001 to 2005 and was created by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Stared Scott Bakulu as Captain John Archer. Enterprise is set 100 years before The Original Series and shows the early years of starfleet and the exploration of the galaxy. The Enterprise meets the Klingons and the Romulans on their way to forming the Federation.

    A plane crash leaves 48 people stranded on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific island. The series deals with the group of survivors struggling to get along and understand the strange (and often dangerous) paranormal happenings on the island. The show jumps back and forth between the survivors on the island and flashbacks from their lives before the crash.
  • Battlestar Galactica

    Created by Ronald D. Moore, a reboot of a 1978 series by the same name. Battlestar ran for 4 seasons and ended in 2009.
    Like the original, takes place aboard the military ship Galactica following the Cylon War which decimated the human population. In this series, Cylons have evolved to take human form.

    After a fourteen year hiatus, Doctor Who was brought back to television in 2005 and is currently on its seventh season. The Doctor has been played by Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith in this time. The new incarnation of Doctor Who follows the Doctor, a time-traveling Time Lord who is the last of his kind. The Doctor usually has a human companion or two on his journies with him and more often than naught ends up having to save the universe from threats.

    Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series created by Tim Kring that appeared on NBC for four seasons. The series tells the stories of ordinary people who discover superhuman abilities, and how these abilities take effect in the characters' lives. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. The last episode aired on Feb 8, 2010.

    This 2006 spin-off of Doctor Who created by Russel T. Davies fellows the immortal Captain Jack Harkness, former companion of the Doctor. Captain Jack is played by John Barrowman and also starts Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper. Torchwood is about the secret agency known as Torchwood that has been set up to protect the earth from alien invasions or machinations that would threaten its destruction. Popularized thanks to its connection to Doctor Who as well as the main character of Captain Jack Harkness.

    Dollhouse is about several facilities called "houses" that're run secretively by a company that hires people to the wealthy in order to fulfill their needs. The people who're hired out are called "dolls" who willingly let the company erase all of their memory on to a hard drive for 5 years stints in exchange of vast amounts of money.     Warehouse 13 is a U.S. television science fiction series that premiered on July 7, 2009, on the Syfy network. The executive producers are Jack Kenny and David Simkins, The series premiere was Syfy's third largest debut to date, garnering 3.5 million viewers. The series follows U.S. Secret Service Agents Myka Bering and Pete Lattimer when they are assigned to the government's secret Warehouse 13 for supernatural artifacts. Season 4 is currently in progress.
