The First School in the US
The first schools were made based on the amount of people in a town. For towns of fifty, there were elementary schools, and in towns of one hundred, there were schools that taught Latin so children could learn to read the Bible. The reason for the Latin schools was that Puritans were the ones who founded the country at the time.
