Birth
I was born in Tucson Arizona at Tucson Medical Center. I have two older brothers named Timothy and Jeremy. My parents later divorced which made my childhood a bit different than other children’s because I went to my mom’s or dad’s house every other week. -
Best Friend
I have known Emma since she was born. Our parents were really good friends and even built houses right next to each other, so our families were really close. Emma grew up with a total of eight brothers but didn’t have any sisters and I also didn’t have any sisters so we became like sisters to each other. -
Introduced to Horeses
My neighbor was the person who introduced me to horses when I was 5. I immediately fell in love with them and decided I wanted to become a Veterinarian. To this day that is what I still strive to be. -
Parents Divorce
My parents divorced when I was in first grade, I was six years old. I was originally devastated at the fact my parents wouldn’t be together anymore. Now I am actually glad it happened because it has given me the opportunity to expand my ideals of what the term “family” can mean. -
Step-dad
I was introduced to Scott about a year after my parents divorced. At first it was difficult to accept someone else as a parent figure but I eventually got used to the idea. Scott has grown to be another important figure in my life along with my mom, dad, and step-mom. -
Step-mom
My step-mom or “bonus mom” as she likes to say, is named Tara. I met Tara around two years after my parents divorced. When Tara came into my family I also got two younger step-siblings Tyler and Emma. They have both become some of my best-friends even though we come from different parents. -
Mom Moves out of State
It was a big change when my mother announced that they were moving to Colorado. I could have gone with her but my school and friends were all in Arizona so I decided to stay. It was a big adjustment to not have my mom living in the same state. I was able to visit her on school breaks and I eventually fell in love with Colorado and what it had to offer. -
Moving and Selling my Childhood Home
My dad built my childhood home which is one of the reasons why it was extremely hard to say goodbye to it. When we moved out of it we rented it out for two years but eventually had to sell it. I still miss the house but I learned that it was okay to let go of some things. -
Online School
I decided to try online school because I wanted to give myself a new challenge. Online school was a change but I ended up really liking it. Doing online school has presented me with opportunities that I wouldn’t have been able to gain in a traditional school setting. -
Fostering Dogs
When we first started fostering dogs I didn’t realize how much of an impact it would make on me. It taught me many things like different medical conditions and how to treat them, how to train a dog properly, and also that you CAN have too many dogs. Overall fostering dog’s was a great educational experience for me.
