Having been a Charter City since November 11 1952 the citizens of Santa Ana amanted de Charter November 1988 to privide for the direct election to the mayor.Miguel A. Pulido was elected by the voters. He was the first mayor of Latino descent. -
Yost Theater
The Santa Ana artist`s village was created around Cal State Fullerton`s Grand Central Art Center to atract artists and young professionals to live-work lofts and new bussiness. The proccess has continued into 2009 with the re-opening of the historic Yost Theater.
