Samantha's Social and Emotional timeline

  • Birth:

    Birth:
    At birth you were very passive and not social. And emotionally you could feel two basic emotions, distress and contentment.
  • Three weeks:

    Three weeks:
    Socially you are starting to interact by smiling, making eye contact, and more things. And emotionally you are beginning to associate an emotion with its cause, like hunger is pain. And your emotions are becoming more varied.
  • Three months:

    Three months:
    Socially you show uncertainty with puzzled looks and questioning sounds, and you coo to catch attention. Emotionally, your starting to smile and laugh, and you fuss until one of your parents come back into the room.
  • Five months:

    Five months:
    Socially you show excitement or distress when we come and go. Emotionally, you begin to trust and recognize your caregivers and form a strong bond with your parents.
  • Seven months:

    Seven months:
    Socially you show fear of unfamiliar people. you try to seek approval from parents by showing off. and your starting to develop interests outside yourself. Emotionally you can feel threatened in a situation and your emotions are more specific.
  • One year old:

    One year old:
    You have fear of leaving parents and you cry when parents leave.
