Christopher Columbus was born on October 31, 1451. He was born in Genoa, in northwesteren Italy. Cristopher's dad was a weaver and involved in local politics. Cristopher had four yonger siblings but became friends with only one, Bartolomeo. -

Cristopher's First Voyage
Cristopher made his first voyage on August 3, 1492 sponsored by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. The King and Queen sent Columbus with 90 men and three ships, the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria. That is what happened on Aug. 3 1492.thats what happend on august3,1492. -

Christopher spots an island
On October 12, 1492 Rodrigo de Triana of the Pinta spots an island and immediately alerts the men. They landed on the island and Columbus named it San Salvador. -

Christopher set out on his second voyage on September 24, 1493 .Again sponsored by Spain. This time the King and Queen let Christopher have 17 ships and 1,200 men to colonize the region.thats what happend on september24,1493. -

Christopher makes it to the new wolrd for the seond time
On November 3, 1493 Columbus sighted a rugged island named Dominica (Latin for Sunday). Later that day thay landed on an island called Marie-Galante, which he named Santa Maria la Galante. He explored the island between 4pm to 10pm.thats what happend on november3,1493. -

Christopher's 3rd voyage
On May 30, 1498 Christopher set out on his 3rd voyage. Again he was sponsored by Spain (King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella). He left with 6 ships from Sanlucar, Spain going to the New World. That is what happened on May 30, 1498. -
Aug 4, 1498
Christopher makes it to the new world for the 3rd time
On August 4-12, 1498 Christopher explored the Gulf of Paria which separates Trinadad from Venezuela. He also explored the mainland of South America including the Orinoco River. He also sailed to the islands of Chacachacare and Margarita Island. That is what happened on Aug 4, 1498. -
May 11, 1502
Christopher's 4th voyage
On May 11, 1502 Christopher made his last voyage. He sailed with the ships Capitana, Gallega, Vizcaina, and Santiago de Palos. He sailed to Arzila on the Moroccan coast to rescue Portuguese soldiers whom he had heard were under siege by the Moors. That is what happened on may 11, 1502. -

Christopher dies
Christopher Columbus died on May 20,1506. Christopher died in Valladolid, Crown of Casil, in present day Spain. When Christopher discovered the New World he inspired sailers for the future to follow in his footsteps.Thats what happened on May 20,1506. -

Francisco Vasquez Coronado was born on September 22, 1510. Francisco was born in Salamanca, Spain. Francisco's parents were rich but his second brother was very poor. Francisco's parents promised their fortune to his older brother. -

Marrying Beatriz
Sometime in 1537 Francisco Coronado, age 25 married Beatriz de Estrada. Beatriz is the daughter of the wealthy treasurer of Mexico. He inherited a large portion of Mexican estate from Beatriz. They had eight children.That is what happened in 1537 -

Searching the Seven Cities of Gold
Coronodo was told by a priest that he had seen Cibola, one of the Seven Cities of Gold. He said the houses and streets were made of gold and jewels. So Coronado began exploring the southwestern United States. He reached Cibola but it was not the gleaming city of wealth. -

Francisco's Findings
Sometime in 1540 Francisco and his army found indian settlements and discovered the Grand Canyon. His army spent the winter in Tiquex, a pueblo on the Rio Grand. Also in the spring of that year he lead his army across the southern part of Texas. Then he discovered Kansas and was in serch of Gran Quivera. That was some of his findings in 1540. -

Expidition Quivira
on Apr. 23 1541 Francisco explored Quivira. He was told by an indean guy that Quivira was filled by gold and silver. So he whent and explored it. Then he was largly disappointed when he found that it was nothing more than a old indean villege. That is what happened in Quivira. -
Jul 21, 1554
Coeonado dies
On july 21, 1554 Francisco Coronado dies. Coronado returned from New mexiico badly hurt. He was hurt from a bad fall on a horse. He returned from New mexico on December 27 1541. From that date he slowly got werse then On july 21, 1554 he died. That is what happened on July 21 1554.
