Solomon was known for his wisdom. He rules oppressively and people fall away from the true worship of Yahweh. -

Kingdom divides into Israel and Judah
Northern Kingdom is Israel and it later falls to Assyrians. Southern Kingdom is Judah and later falls to Babylonians. -

Amos lived in the Southern Kingdom and worked as a shepherd and a tree trimmer. God called him to preach to the Northern Kingdom. -

Israel is the Northern Kingdom. Most Israelites are in exile and realize they had abandoned Yahweh, so they turned to prayer and studying scripture. -

About 50 years after Babylon conquered Judah, Persians took over. The Jews rebuilt the temple when they took over. -
