Magna Carta
A list of demands of Americanc against English. Served as a symbol of freedom from opperssion to Americans. -
Petition of Right
The Petition of Right was written to dispose Charles I which led to the civil war. It expresses ideas that led to the American Revelution. -
English Bill of Rights
The English Bill of Rights limited the soverign power of England. It said that Englishman had unalienable and political rights. -
Albany Plan of Union
The Albany Plan of Union was a proposal by Ben Franklin to unify all the 13 colonies. The plan was never carried out. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was when a squad of British soldiers shot 3 men. The British soldiers in Boston were being harrased because they were trying to enforce the Townsend Acts; many clashes between soldiers and civilians resulted. -
Boston Tea Party
Civilians got on a ship and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor. This was a result of the high taxes the English put on tea and was an act of rebellion. -
First Contenental Congress
Meeting of delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies in in Carpenter Hall in Philedelphia. Soon after, welfare and the American Revelution began. -
Second Continental Congress
The Second Contentental Congress managed war efforts, raised armies, directed strategies, appointed diplomats, and signed treaties. It acted as the unofficial government of what would become the US. -

Shays Rebellion was an armed uprising in Mass. It was a protest by American farmers against state and local enforcement of tax collections and judgments for debt. -
