In May of 1788 Sacagawea was born.Sacagawea was born in Lemhi County, Idaho. She belonged to the Shoshone Tribe. -
Lewis and Clark Arrive
Lewis and Clark came to Sacagawea and her Mandan people looking for shelter. They explained to her and her people they were on a long journey. Gladly, they were kind enough and welcomed them. -
Sacagawea begins journey
Due to the fact that Lewis and Clark and exploring unknown lands and most likely meeting new people.Sacagawea's husband becomes Lewis and Clark's translator for the long journey ahead. Sacagawea decides to come along. -
Sacagawea is pregnant
Sacagawea soon finds out that she is pregnant. She finds this after getting ready for the long expedition ahead with her husband. She was ready for what was ahead with the expedition and the journey. She becomes pregnant at 16 or 17. -
Sacagawea gives birth
Sacagawea gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She named her baby boy Jean Babtistle. The birth of Jean was said to be asisted by Lewis, while on the journey. -
Expedition officially starts
The long expedition finally begins. Baby Jean is now 55 days old. The journey ahead is 5,000 miles and would likely take around 16 months to complete it. -
Expedition set back
A terrible wind storm almost took one of their boats. Sacagawea was one to act fast and grabbed a hold of research notes, book, etc. But unfortunately they did lose some gun powder, food, and other supplies. -
Sacagawea becomes ill
During the expedition Sacagawea becomes very ill. She was sick for about 7 days. But with the help of Lewis and Clark they were able to help her recover and continue the journey. -
Sacagawea is pregnant with 2nd child
Around 7 years after the journey was completed. Sacagawea became pregnant with her 2nd child at the age 23 or 24. She gives birth to a baby girl and she names her Lizette. -
Sacagawea dies
4 months after giving birth to her second child, Sacagawea suddenly died. She was said to die around the age of 26 years old. The cause of her death was said to be fever or typhus.
