    The Germans and Belgiums classified the tutsis and hutus. The tutsis (14%) are the ones who are favored meaning they are given more privileged and western-style education unlike the hutus who are less favored (85%).

  • PARMEHUTU: Rise in Belgian-Ruled Rwanda

    The “Party for the emancipation of the hutus” or “PARMEHUTU” (people who persecuted the tutsi) was formed while Rwanda was still under the Belgium rules.
