    On the 23th of February, international women's day, mainly women took to the streets to protest against the Tsar with slogans such as 'Feed the children of the defenders of the motherland' this was too much for the Tsar so he ordered his regiment to fire killing hundreds of protesters which made the people hate the Tsar even more

    On February 27th(old Russian Calendar) the army were once again told by the Tsar to eliminate the rioters on the streets of Petrograd however they refused and stood against the Tsar joining in with the rebels.

    The Tsar is met by the Duma and told to abdicate his throne, with no one on his side and no other option Nicholas abdicates his throne in favour of his brother Michael who refuses.

Another uprising causes the liberal coalition of the Provisional Government to collapse; after deserting soldiers generals put the Government under pressure causing the death penalty to be re-introduces for deserting soldiers.     General Kornilov leads in an attack on Petrograd to counter the threats of the the Bolsheviks, with unclear approval of the Provisional Government, which ultimately fails against the Bolshevik army which allows them to gain the trust of the people in Petrograd.
