  • Bloody Sunday Massacre

    Bloody Sunday Massacre
    There was a series of strikes detonating throughout the city of St. Petersburg or Petrograd, where the peaceful march turned violent when the military was called in. This resulted in the deaths of over a hundred civilians and hundreds were wounded fatally.

    The Bolshevik government committed mass arrests and killings. There are estimates that roughly 100,000 people were executed, but there was no official record totalled. After a failed assassination attempt on Lenin, 512 representatives were shot. Lenin thought this would bring an end to the revolution.
