    On January 22 1905, thousands of people marched peacefully to Czar Nicholas' Winter Palace.

    In December of 1905 Czars army crushedthe uprising in Moscaw. Also, the police arrested people from the St. Petersburg Soviot Union, including Leon Trotsky.

    1915, Nicholas left petorgrad for the war front, determined to personally lead his counrty into victory.

    On March 15 of 1917 the government forced Czar Nicholas to resign his throne.

    On March third 1918 the goverment signed a treaty to prevent German invasions.

    On March 8 1918, strikes and riots over food and coal storages broke out in petrograd.

    The Russian communist government formed the Soviet Union.

    Lean Trotsky who was in exile returned to petrograd and in 1917 was choosen to be their soviot in september.

    The communist system ended in Russia in 1991.
