    After Alexander III died in 1894, his son, Nicholas II became what was soon to be known as the last Czar of Russia. Nicholas II had no idea on what he was doing which eventually led to the overthrow of Nicholas II and ended over 300 years of czarist power.

    When workers of St. Petersburg decided to do something about the cruel working conditions they were experiencing, they created a long list of demands to better their working environment. However, this "small" protest suddenly turned into a bloodbath when 130 workers were killed. This became known as Bloody Sunday and ultimately sparked the 1905 Russian Revolution.

    When the Russian Revolution of 1917 occurred, it resulted in two revolutions with the first being the February Revolution. When the February revolution started, it resulted in many Russian citizens going on strike. This occurred because they were tired of standing in line for bread because of the food shortage at the time and decided to go on strike from their factories.

    After being forced to abdicate the throne by Petrograd insurgents, Czar Nicholas II abdicated from the throne. A provincial government was installed in his place after he abdicated.

    After the Bolsheviks overthrew the government of Russia, Russia dropped out of the war. Not only did Russia have a mere amount of supplies, but after its original government got overthrown, they had no other option but to drop out.

    When the Bolsheviks formed an army, they called it the Red Army. In Europe, the color red represents socialist revolution so the Bolshevik party changed their name to the Communist party. So in March of 1918, the Bolshevik party changed its name to the Communist party.

    St. Petersburg was under great danger. They decided that changing their name to Moscow would help them so they changed their name to Moscow.

    On December 30th, 1922, the USSR was established. The Red Army had defeated the White and Green Armies and paired up with Russia to create the USSR.

    Lenin died of intracerebral hemorrhage or a Hemorrhagic stroke. This occurs when a ruptured blood vessel causes bleeding inside the brain. However, Lenin suffered four strokes in his lifetime and the fourth that he suffered was the death of him.
