Lenin temporarily put aside plans for a state controlled economy. Instead he went to the New Economic Policy. The government encouraged foreign trade. -
The USSR
Russia was renamed the USSR. Lenin has a stroke and soon dies. Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky fight for his place.
