This made the population angry that he favored the nobility -
Reign Of Czar Nicholas II(1894-1917)
-Didn't think people should be involved in Government. This made the people angry because they saw what happened in western europe and they want to have a say
-The Russian people wanted to industrialize and Czar Nicholas did nothing to help
- He made the Duma. This made a constitutional monarchy
-He was blamed for their failure in the war -
Russo-Japanese War(1904-1905)
-This happened because they were feuding between land in northern China.
-Russia was expecting a swift victory, but Japan had a superior navy and were industrialized.
-Russia lost and they lost land i northern China. They were embarrassed. -
Bloody Sunday
-200,000 workers marched to the palace to try and get better living conditions.
-The police opened fir and 100 people were killed, and 3,000 where injured.
-This event cause many strikes and disorder throughout Russia. -
Establishment Of the Duma
This was a plan put in place in order to have a constitutional monarchy -
Russia Entered WWI
Russia had to eventually pull out early. The population blamed the lose on Czar Nicholas II. This made people resent the Czar even more. -
Death of Rasputin
Rasputin was an adviser of the Czarist at the time.The Nobility killed him because they thought he was the one running the sow in the castle.In order to kill him they tried to poison him, shoot him twice, and they eventually succeeded in drowning him.
He was thought to be the one behind the scenes running the show. -
Abdication of Czar Nicholas
When this happened a provisional Government was put in place. This is what the population overthrew during the revolution -
Bolshevik Revolution
It started when armed factory workers stormed the castle without warning. This revolution started to propel Russia to become a communist country. -
Civil War
This was a war for determining what would happen to the Russian government. It was fought between many factions. The war was won by the Red army and they started to make Russia a communist country. This Civil war allowed the Bolshevik revolution to succeed. -
Establishment of USSR
This was when the communist party took over and named the country USSR. This was suppose to be that there were no classes but the communist party became the upper class basically. They were the government. -

Stalin Rises to Power
When Lenin suffered a stroke the communist arty elected Joseph Stalin as their leader. Eventually Stalin bullied his way up to becoming a dictator in Russia. He had total power by 1928. -
Lenin's Death
Lenin suffered form a stroke. He lived but this incident put in motion the finding of a new leader for the communist party. Lenin died in 1924. He warned Russia abut Stalin before he died. -
Leon Trotsky's Exile
Trotsky was the only other person willing to run against Stalin. He got exiled because he was the only one who opposed Stalin. This lead to Stalin having full control over Russia and allowed him to commit his horrific acts.
