The Marxists revolutionaries disagree over their tatics to overthrow the government. THe charismatic VLadimir Lenin becomes the new leader. -
The Russo - Japense War
Russia broke their treaty with Japense so in response to this Japan attacked and killed many Russians. The people where very unhappy with the governments response. -
Strikes and Revolts
200,000 workers went on strike and revolted infront of the Czars Winter Palace. The workers asked for better working conditions, better pay and more freedom from the government. This lead to more strikes and revolts throughout Russia which lead to the creation of the Duma. -
The Duma is Dispersed
After feeling that his power was threaten, the czar dissolves the Duma after ten days. -
Entered World War 1
Russia enters World War 1 on the side of the Allies. Russia's weak economy and low morales didn't help in the war effort. Russia was poorly equipped for war. -
More Riots
The female textile workers rioted over prices, end the war. Autocracy soldiers shot the revolting workers at first, but later sided with them.v -
Red Guard
Armed factory workers called the Bolshevik Red Guards take and kill enemy government officials. After the first few people vanish so does Kerensky. -
Russian German Treaty
Russia and Germany sign a peace treaty ending the war between the two of them. This treaty is called the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. The people were outrage with the outcome of the treaty, loss of land. -
The Red Army
The Red Army ( Leon Trotsky) fought against the White army. The white army was multiple groups that disagreed with the Red Army. In the end the Red Army wins with 14 million died. USA sent military aid to the white army. -
Lenin takes Control
Lenin uses the NEP, or new economic policy instead of his own policies. The new policy allows for extra crops to be sold and small businesses were run by owners and big corpartions are controlled by government. -
Lenin
Lenin suffers a stroke and survies. Stalin puts people in place to become the new top leader.
