    Decembrist Revolt
    This event was on December 26th, 1825 which was an uprising the was led by a group of nobles in protest of Nicholas I taking the throne of his brother. This was an unsucessful revolt leding to 289 Decembrist either killed, imprisoned, or banished to Siberia. Immediatly after this event Colonel Prince Sergey Trubetsky fled the surrounding area.

    Nicholas II becomes Czar of Russia
    In November of 1894 Nicholas II became Czar after his father, Alexander III, died. Nicholas II was crowned ruler of Russia in the Old Ouspensky Cathedral in Moscow. He was not inclined nor trained enough to rule, this did not help his popularity. I wanted to preserve the nation and its ways, but he ruled in a nation that is in need of change. Also, Nicholas wanted to keep a Czarist government which also did not help his popularity.

    During this war that started on September 5, 1904 Russia and Japan were fighting over the control of Manchuia and Korea. Russia ended up losing this war even though they had more troops than Japan and they had more power. This loss showed the people of Russia and everyone else the declining power of Russia. This loss also led to the grewing distrust of Russia's leader, this eventually led the people to demand more freedom.

    On January 5, 1905 this event occuried, it was a march led by Father Gapon with the workers of Russia to the Winter Palace to present the demands of more freedom. When they got to the Winter Palace the cheif of security orded the police fire on the protesters. After this happened Nicholas II got the nick name of Bloody Nicholas and more uprising and revolts came about the country.

    During WWI from 1914 - 1918 Russia got involved and experience great losses of many men and it was a economic tragidy. After the first loss in the war Nicholas II took charge and went to fight the war leaving Alexandra in charge of Russia. Leaving her in charge and lossing other battles altimatly led to the abdication of Nicholas II and the death of him and his family.

Leaders of the protest took the street shouting for bread, they were not alone they were supported by huge crowds of striking industrail workers. This protest took place in St. Petersburg and was only a small part of it's workers protesting, but soon after it started the protest spread to all of St. Petersburgs workers.     This event was on March 15, 1917 where following the Russian stuggles in WWI there is an uprising against Nicholas II. The army is now on the striking works side, this forces Nicholas II to give up his throne. This is the end of Russia and the collapse if the absolute rule. After he is froced to give up his throne NIcholas II and his family is taken the Yekaterinburg and killed.

    This war start in November of 1917 after the abddication of Nicholas II. It was a war between Lenin's Bolsheviks the Reds against anyone who opposed Lenin and they were known as the Whites. The Whites we lead by Mannerheim and the Reds Lenin. They were fighting about what and who should control the government of Russia. In the end Lenin's Reds won making Lenin supreme ruler.

    The USSR was ratified on December 30, 1922 and stands for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The USSR is made up in 15 republics, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. All of these republics are controled by Russia.

    On January 21, 1924 Vladimir Lenin died, the cause of death was determined that he had died of a stroke. However, some theories are that Stalin, the leader next in command, poisined Lenin. This is not a for fetched idea since Stalin is responsible for more deaths the Hitler. Lenin was the first leader of the Solviet Union and was looked at highly. He was looked at highly enough that you can still see his real body that has been perserved over the years.
