She was the most revered female leader of Russia. She founded many new cities and towns and brought Russia great wealth. -

He was a very liberal leader of Russia, and had many assasination attempts on his life. He was eventually assinated in 1881. -
Nicholas II
He was the last Emperor of Russia. He was known for his brutal tactics and anti-semitism. Nicknamed him Bloody Nicholas. -
Alexander Kerensky
Head of Russia between the Czars and the Bolsheviks. Fled Russia and went to Paris when the Bolsheviks took power. -
Vladimir Lenin
Lead the Bolsheviks into power, organized the October Revolution which started the Communist Nation of Russia. -
Joseph Stalin
Known for his major contributions to WWII that helped defeat hitler. He believed to "fight to the death." However, he was very brutal and killed thousands of Russians. Also lead Russia into the Cold War. -
Nikita Khrushchev
Succeeded Joseph Stalin. Played a major role in the cold war all they way up to 1964. -
Mikhail Gorbachev
Believed in radical reform of Russia. He was also greatly concerned with the economy. His refroms eventually disbanded the U.S.S.R. and it was disbanded in 1991. -
Boris Yeltsin
His main goal was to westernize the Russian governemt. After significant fiancial decreases he eventually resigned his position with a 2% approval rating. -
Vladimir Putin
Was chosen by Yeltsin to be president. He was then elected Prime Minister by Medvedev. He has been seen as the political stability of Russia. -
Dmitiri Medvedev
Is Russia's current president and is closely tied with Vladimir Putin. -

Noted for his Christian beliefs. Kieven Cathedral is named after him
