Russias new form of Government following the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II. This gave the Tsar all the provided power over the poeple. -
April Thesis
A series of directives issued by the Bolshevik leader Lenin upon his return to Petrograd, after his exile. Lenin succeeds in persuading the Bolsheviks in his April thesis, this leads to the October Revolution. -
Kornilov Affair
The Kornilov affair was an alleged coup de tat by the commander-in-cheif of the Russian Army to overtake the Provisional Government. Kornilovs attempt failed and he ended up leading the Bolsheviks to a revolution. -
Bolshevik Revolution
Political revolution that was led by the Bolsheviks and a big part of the Russian Revolution. This ended the Russian Provisional Government and was a starter of the Russian Civil war. -
War Communism
This was the economic and political system that existed in Soviet Russia during the Russian civil war. War Communism ended March 21st 1921 when the NEP began, which lasted until 1928. -
Civil War
A multi party war that included the Russian Provisional Government, The Bolsheviks, The Red Army, and The White Army that occured within the former Russian Empire after the Russian Provisional Government collapsed to ther Soviets. The Soviets gained power thorouhout all of Russia. -
Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
This was a peace treaty signed on March 3rd between Russia and the central powers. This got all Russian people back into trusting there country. -
New Economic Policy
The NEP (New Economic Policy) was proposed by Lenin who called it "State Capatalism" The NEP enabled small buisnesses to make private profits. -
Treaty Of Rapallo
An agreement that was signed in the town of Rapallo between Germany and Soviet Russia. This treaty reannounced all teratorial and financial claims against the others, the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk and WWI. -
Kellog Briand Pact
An agreement signed by the U.S.A. France, UK, and Italy. The aim of the treaty was to end the war, it did not end up living up to its aim. -
League Of Nations
The Leauge of Nations was an intergovernmental organization founded at the Paris Peace conference, this ended up ending WWI -
Nazi Soiet Pact
A non aggression pact that the two power houses of the war were to remain nuetral if either was attacked. It remained effective until the 22nd of June 1941 when Germany invaded the Soviet Union.
