Nicholas the II becomes czar of Russia
He took over the throne in 1894 because of his fathers death, unlike his father Nicholas II turned out to be a terrible leader. Leading russia to lose in the Russo-Japanese war, which was humiliating to Russia and he also did a lot of other dumb, or terrible things while in throne. He was abdicated in 1918. Then Executed with his family. -
Russo-japanese War
Russia went in as the "big" country thinking they wouldn't lose and ended up losing to Japan. The Japanese Navy ended up attacking one of Russias ship fleets that was one of Russias naval bases that was leased to Russia by China. -
Bloody Sunday
Alot of major strikes started to occur in the industrialized center in russia. The police ended up killing people which then led to a masacre of lots of people. Its called bloody sunday because when you looked down in the snow all you could see was blood. -
Russian involvement in World War II
Gregory Rasputin grew as a key figure in Russia and ended up taking the Romanov's out of office and started the Bolsiviecks. Which was led by Putin in 1917. Russia faced alot of military hardships. They had a rough time during the course of the war. -
Russian Civil War
The war occured in 1917-1920. The war was all about the bolshevicks trying to stay in power. The petograd tried over throwing the bolshevicks out of power but the bulshevicks were able to beat the petograds and stay in power. The bolshevicks were led by Vladimeir Lenin who then after the war became a key figure in Russia. Literally everyone loved him. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates
Forced to abdicate the Russian thrown by the Petograd Insurgants, In his place they put a provicial government. -
March Revolution
The March Revolution took place in March of 1917. It was when the emporor was abdicated and taken out of throne. This then led to the uprising of the bolshiviecks. -
Lenin's Death
Russia was devastated. They were honestly torn apart. They ended up putting his body in a glass case and have it dipped into preservatives to keep it from decaying. Russia lost one of their best leaders ever. -
Creation of U.S.S.R.
The Treaty of the creation of the U.S.S.R. was the official document that started the Soviet Union. After that they started there more formal government with congress and their councils of people.
