RREAL Begins
RREAL was founded in 2000 by Jason Edens, a high school teacher with a keen interest in solar technologies and a vision for a better way to help struggling families through the winter. Supported by a group of dedicated volunteers, RREAL operated from Jason’s basement and garage for five years. -
First Solar Assistance Installation
RREAL refurbishes old solar collectors and installs them on a home for a family struggling to meet their families heating needs each winter. -

GiveMN Give to the Max Day
RREAL participates in the new orgaization GiveMN, Give to the Max day. RREAL embarks on a new fundraising path utilizing GiveMN's platform and sees positive results! -

SERC Program & Grant
RREAL partners with 9 Community Action Agencies and trains them in weatherization and installation of solar powered furnaces. Together a toatl of 230 solar powered furnaces are installed on homes throughout Minnesota! A lot of progress in moving people from impoverished to empowered. -
